Synopsis
Pre-war medicine, European identity politics, and dark comedy meet in Radu Jude’s latest film, a totally unconventional biopic of Romanian Jewish writer Max Blecher, depicting the period of his life spent in a hospital being treated for his debilitating bone tuberculosis.
