Synopsis
This riveting multi-part documentary follows a group of mostly female independent journalists in Russia as Vladimir Putin’s government closes ranks in preparation to invade Ukraine. While media independence was always fraught, this film documents the journalists as they are denounced as foreign agents and as their lives are imperiled. Be aware that this is not a soothing, comforting story.
