Synopsis
Olivier Assayas ushered in the second century of cinema with this story of a film director (Jean-Pierre Leaud) who finds himself stuck as he tries to film a remake of the silent serial LES VAMPIRES. When Hong Kong star Maggie Cheung (playing herself) arrives, a lightning flash of inspiration strikes, resulting in one of the most satisfactory movie climaxes of its era.
