Synopsis

Like Jules and Jim trading the French countryside for a bombed-out Eastern Europe, two men and a woman revert to childhood games and hopscotch toward nightmarish consequences in a decidedly adult world. Shot in the immediate wake of the Soviet invasion of 1968, the film was banned until 1989. Screening with the “strangely compelling study” KUSAMA’S SELF-OBLITERATION (24 min), “a thought-provoking attempt at pantheism and ego transcendence” featuring artist Yayoi Kusama.
